Hello!! Welcome to my first ever post for the year 2008! LOL
Yeah, it’s been very busy for me since my last entry….been going back n forth to Singapore to attend job interviews and looking for a place to stay….and now, I’m finally here in Sgpore. Just started my new job last week….very tiring, but I think it’s better than my previous job! Oh well, i’m always on the lookout for new and better opportunities….hope it comes my way! Hey, life’s too short to be stucked on something that you know you’d eventually leave right?
Other than that, I’m LOVING my new life here. Erm, I guess it’s the sense of freedom that I haven’t have in a long time….precisely since I left Aussie land. Food’s great and cheap, shopping’s great (tho im saving that for later when i’ve received my pay) and ppl’s great too. Hrmmm I guess in some ways im feeling more relax and at ease now than when I was in KL. But still, I miss my ex-colleagues like MAD! They’ve been my family at work for the past 1 yr+ that I was there, and my boss is the coolest ‘mama’ ever! Sad to be leaving them, but then again….everyone else is leaving the company for greener pastures as well. Oh well, they’ll always be sweet memories right? Thanks so much for making such a big deal outta my farewell….and for all the gifts – it’s the best ever!!!
Ok, obviously I won’t be updating as often anymore…work keep me pretty busy throughout the day…til i have to force myself to get outta there! Will come back here to update as and when I feel like it, aight? In the meantime….for any updates…check my Facebook account…hahahha.

Hah, so i was late to wish everyone Merry Christmas after all! Got sick over the Christmas hols…..think it’s all the stress getting to me….argh! Anyway, at least I got the rest I needed….and now…resolutions time? Since this is the last day of 2007!
Here are the ones i made last NYE:
- Stop Cut down on the shopping and spending, and start saving some money for the future plans.
Haha I never seem to get away from this one. But thankfully, it’s getting somewhere finally! Savings r finally on track, thanks to a salary raise and freelance jobs 
I still love shopping tho!
- Keep my work and career on track, and hopefully by the end of 2007, I’d have this fuzzy feeling in me because I know I’ve achieved something and am good in what I do. Righttt…..
Well, had that fuzzy feeling a couple of times already….and am certainly not complaining! It’s the pride you get from seeing your work on air/print! Hahahah bring it on….bring it on. At least now I know what I’m good at :p
- Keep up with this keeping in touch with friends thingy. It’s great to have them as part of my life….and with each of them tying the knot one by one over the next year or so, all the more reason to stay in touch while we still can.
This is right on track too…..been keeping in touch with all my dearies as much as I can, even with them popping babies too…hahhah
- To travel to a couple of places, IF my leave and work permits me to do so. Hrmm…..maybe Thailand for starters. Or, states in Malaysia that i have not been to yet. China would be great….but I’d like to leave that for 2008.
ARGHH….i am still yet to make the trip to Thailand!! Never mind…..this coming year maybe. Well, if it’s any consolation….at least I’ve been to Singapore a couple of times this year! ahahha
- To get a manicure and pedicure for the coming Chinese new Year.
Honey, manis and pedis come naturally for me now! ehhehehe why didn’t i discover this little luxury in life earlier?! Such bliss…..
- To be consistent in my gym routine and be on track with my weight loss thingy. Total weight lost since October = 3 kgs!
Yeah, I’m consistent alrite……since we’re counting….total weight lost since last NYE…..6 kgs….and I’ve managed to maintain it since! Wheeee
- Start thinking more of the future and what sorta life I would like to live. Decide between Malaysia/Singapore/Australia….
For now….it’s gonna be Singapore next year….new work, new life. What happens after that….well, we’ll see by then yeah
Okk….maybe this year I won’t list down all the resolutions, but just keep it straight and clear. I hope to start at new life and career in Singapore soon…..the sooner, the better (what can i say, I love a change in scenery every so often!). Yups…once that’s been done….I hope to live life to the fullest, enjoy every second of it….and continue the rest of my unfulfilled resolutions.
Here’s to a better 2008 for us all! *clinks*
Christmas is just around the corner!

Heyy….nice seeing me updating again?! HAhaha i know, I guess some of you are sick and tired on F5-ing this page…only to be dissapointed with my efforts. Ah well, was just busy with work and life, i guess…up to a point that I’m just about to breakdown with it all. So yeah, what better theraphy or shrink to see than my good ol’ blog. And besides….Christmas is coming…that’s another reason to be happy, right?!
Anyway…i dunno about the rest of you….but I’m totally excited to be back to boring ol’ Kuching this Christmas! Well, with family and good friends around….doesn’t seem so boring anymore. Can’t wait to cook up the Christmas storm with my mom…and do lunch/tea this sunday with the bestie and her precious baby girl. Darn, she must b so big by now already….not the cuddly-sized baby that I held in my arms 6 months ago. Oh well, just hope that she can still fit into the dress I got her then….hehehe.
So yeah, in the days to come…I guess I’ll be checking my New year resolutions checklist and making new ones for the coming new year. Boo….I’m working 0n NYE this year! This really sucks! Arghh….hopefully next year will be a better one. Dear God, please give me a job in Singapore so that I can start a brand new life for the brand new year!!!
Oh well, I guess January/February 2008 is gonna whizz by like the breeze. Everything’s happening so close to each other….there’s the other bestie’s wedding in JB end of Jan…..and company trip few days later…whee Club Med here I come! And a few days later, I’ll be back for CNY….again! Geez, time really flies when you’re having fun, huh?! Ah well, as long as it’s a happy thing….I’m not complaining!
Well, in case I don’t make it back here in time…..just gonna start wishing everyone super early this year:

A frind of mine just did a very courageous thing (well, to me anyway): He quit his advertising job here in Malaysia and hopped on the next plane to the States. Reason? He’s bored of the day-to-day routine, and he’s looking to do something different in life….I guess to add more spice to it, and break out of the ordinary? Oh, but while he’s there he’s not completely bumming and doing nothing….been to several agencies, hoping to secure a job in the US (and a better life).
Ah, I wished I had the guts to do that as well! Yeah, trying to find a job in Singapore next year is a step towards a change…but I just don’t know if I had the guts to quit my job now while i take a break and find another job at the same time (read: being jobless and go job hunting at the same time). Hrmm…just worried what the future employer would think (e.g. this person’s a bum, she quit her job so she’s lazy…etc etc etc). But then again, my mom told me that it might not be such a bad thing after all. Take a break and refresh yourself so that you’ll perform better at your next job. Why not?! And come to think of it, an ex-colleague did that too. Quit and went travelling in Europe for 2 weeks! Man, I wished I was loaded….then i could take that trip back to Aussie land for a short visit. Well, actually I do have the funds for that….but I think it would be wiser to save it up for the future (e.g. initial uprooting costs when i make the move to Singapore).
Dang…i’m getting restless…both with life and my job. I mean, i dunno….call me feisty or whatever…i just can’t stand routines…not for long anyway! I need change…fresh new ones!
Somebody please shoot me now! hehhehe
70s theme party

So, this year’s annual dinner is based on the 70s theme (yeah, we have fun parties like this a few times a year). Anyway….my group’s dress code is based on the movie ‘Staying Alive’. Sounds fun, but I’ve absolutely no idea what to wear! And, the party’s in 2 weeks time. Hrmm….all I can think of right now is…..short halter dresses, fishnet stockings and platform shoes.
Ideas anyone? I don’t wanna wear anything too tacky either….and end up looking like an auntie! hahaahah

OH NO!! Just realized that on top of having dark eye bags under my peepers…..there’s fine wrinkles as well! Ermm….well, it’s not too bad really….but if you look closely, especially when i smile….there r wrinkles!! Nooooooo!!! How can this be happening?! I’m not even 30 for heavens sake! Arghhhhh…..I’ve always thought that I’ve young-looking skin. Now what?!
Bleks….guess I’ve gotta scour around for eye creams now. And here I was, a week ago, sniggering at the bestie who’s started using eye creams and even tried out SKII!! *wails* Darn….must b all those late nights and all! I hate thee!!! Don’t you ever try to invade me, you stupid wrinkles…you $%^&*()#@
Anyway……I know, totally useless and no brainer post, this is. Just need an outlet to scream and cry! Apart from that, I’m pretty happy that the weekend is here….and still in the search of the perfect job across the causeway. Hrmm…is there such a thing as a perfect job? Maybe I should lower my expectations a lil……*shrugs*

Well, you wouldn’t believe it, kids…..but I’m going over to Singapore yet again….for a job interview!! Hahah yeah, but will just be going in the morning and going back in the evening. Yeah…have to work the next day…and plus, I think the awards dinner in on that same nite as well.
Hrmm….so wish me luck ok? Hope everyone’s having a great week so far…..
p/s I hate PMS…..making me hungry and craving for food…sweet food, in fact. I’m crazy about Beard Papa’s cream puff…..HELPPPPP!!!! My waistline so cannot take it…

The long weekend in Singapore was absolutely fab! Geez, i went there without the intention of spending much….hahah but then if you leave me alone in a huge shopping mall like Suntec City or Bishan Junction 8….the crazy shopaholic in me emerges! Ahh….the clothes there r so much nicer…and so is the food…and eye candies!! Oh, and don’t even get me started on the clubbing scene…..absolutely fab! Went to watch this live show….and my my my….the guys r extra yummy. South Africans fron Johannesburg…. .Sumwan pls gimme a job there so i can move over!! (i’m serious, btw)
Hrmm….after all the fun and excitement, this weekend was a rather mellow one hanging out with the girlies. Oh no….and I shopped summore! Gotta learn to control this before it goes outta hand…but the bargains were really good. Mmm…and we had shabu-shabu steamboat for dinner, which was very yummy and healthy. Met up with a friend from Pri. school which all of us have not seen in donkey years! Good to catch up with long lost friends, eh.
So, after all the excitement…it’s back to work now. Hrmm…hopefully this will be a better week….for me and everyone else!

Uh-oh….this is getting really bad. I’ve actually abandoned my blog for like yonks! Sigh….what can I say? Work has been crazy…actually more than crazy….up till the extent that I almost went crazy and had a breakdown. Geez….how much longer of this can I take?!
Thank God I could still chill out over the past weekend…..went for drinks at this pub at Bangsar called The Social. Had a cocktail called ‘Nightmare’, which was the ultimate strongest! It was a mixture of red wine, gin, vodka, beer, cranberry juice….and i forgot what else. Oh, and tis’ the season for the police to rip off money from us citizens coz Hari Raya (their new year or smth like that) is this coming weekend. So, blackmail time! Shall not go on further coz then I’ll b fuming….arghhh!
Anyway….am going to Singapore yet again….for the coming long weekend from this Fri til next Mon. Yayy….shopping…drinking…catching up with friends and what-not else!
